3 января 1969 года родился Михаэль Шумахер - немецкий гонщик Формулы-1, семикратный чемпион мира, обладатель многочисленных рекордов Формулы-1, самый успешный пилот за всю историю автоспорта. В прессе его часто называют «Солнечным мальчиком», «Красным бароном» или «Шуми». Михаэль Шумахер сел за руль в возрасте трёх лет, а уже в пятилетнем возрасте он успешно участвовал в гонках на картах. В 14 лет Шумахер получил свою первую лицензию гонщика и начал выступления в официальных соревнованиях. В 1991 году впервые принял участие в гонках Формулы-1 за команду Jordan. После первого же выступления его пригласили перейти в более именитую Benetton. Именно там он и получил свое первое прозвище из-за желтого цвета комбинезона и неизменной улыбки на лице. Затем Михаэль выступал за команды Ferrari и Mercedes-Benz. Во время выступлений за Мерседес вошло в обиход следующее прозвище Шумахера - "красный барон". Такое же прозвище носил один из немецких асов Первой мировой войны, летавший красном самолете. А цвет болидов Мерседеса как раз красный. После ухода в 2006 году Шумахер вновь вернулся в Формулу-1 в 2010, однако былых результатов уже не показывал. После окончания сезона 2012 года решил завершить карьеру гонщика.
